Level 3 Diploma in Massage Therapy

Our Level 3 Diploma in Massage (RQF) is aimed at those of you who are looking to develop your practical skills in body massage, with the use of pre-blended aromatherapy oils, Indian head massage and stone therapy massage. As well as developing your knowledge in the origins of massage and the principles of complementary and alternative medicine.

This is a lovely course which can lead to some fabulous job prospects.

Learners must be aged over 16 to enroll on this course, however there are no formal entry requirements other than this. Level 2 in Beauty therapy or the Level 2 certificate in Facial and skincare would be a great advantage as a pre requisite to this course.

We offer a 12 week fast-track course, especially designed for students that wish to do the training more quickly than undertaking a year’s course at a further educational college.

We have much smaller class groups compared with a traditional college and a focused, hands-on learning environment, which allows you to complete the course more quickly.

What will I learn?

The qualification will provide you with the understanding of preparation for work based on capability and knowledge. Learners will develop their ability to adapt the provision of client care and their communication skills to the needs of different clients. Learners will also learn how to manage client expectations. In short, you will learn how to become a great therapist with a wide underpinning knowledge and attitude in order to deliver quality treatments safely and effectively. You will be assessed through practical assesments plus assignments. Mandatory Units are as follows: Explore the origins of massage and principles of complementary and alternative medicine Provide Body Massage Provide Massage using Pre-blended Aromatherapy Oils Apply stone therapy massage Provide Indian head massage Client care and communication in beauty-related industries Monitor and maintain health and safety practice in the salon Maintaining Personal Health and Well being

How long does it take?

Our fast track course is two days per week for 12 weeks. This course is intensive and involves homework outside of centre, so you will need to attend as many sessions as possible. As with anything- the more practice you do, the better! Our groups are very small in order to ensure you get lots of 1:1 training and I will be there to help you every step of the way x

What are my career prospects?

From this course you can go and work in a Spa, on the cruise ships, in salon, or even for yourself. I would recommend being employed rather than self employed initially to gain lots of experience within industry, but that is my own personal preference! You could also enroll to become qualified in deep tissue or sports massage.

How much does the course cost?

The course is priced at £1300 plus a £52 registration fee. Finance is available to help spread the cost up to 12 months to make this more managable.
